Father Paul for celebrated Mass with two year 9 RE groups who led readings and prayers. He then led the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for a KS4 group. It was a prayerful time and our students and staff were extremely reverent during this special experience. Throughout lunchtime, students from the Sixth Form John Paul II group and staff adored the Blessed Sacrament, offering their own thoughts and prayers in quiet reflection. Grateful thanks to the RE team, John Paul II group and staff who actively supported this important liturgical experience.
A member of staff said, ‘The Day of Adoration reminded me what we are about as a school – Jesus. What a blessing to have the opportunity to stop and remember that Jesus is always there for us.’
A student said, ‘I felt that the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament was a wonderful experience to take time and sit peacefully in a chapel. Being around others who felt the same gave me strength in my faith. I felt connected with God.’
